On Friday, the Explore & More Museum will host its monthly “Au-Some Evening” of open play for families and children on the autism spectrum from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at 300 Gleed Avenue.
The program, on the second Friday of each month, has become increasingly popular since it started about a year ago, said museum spokeswoman Jennifer Fee.
“We’ve gotten great feedback from the families,” she said. “The point of the evening is to make an environment where everyone is comfortable.”
Featured activities include the “Imagination Playground,” a set of giant blue foam blocks that the children use to build things. The evening is free. Call 332-4170 to reserve a place.
Also this week:
• The Aurora Town Board meets at 7 p.m. Monday at the Southside Municipal Center auditorium, 300 Gleed Avenue.
• The East Aurora Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Village Hall.
