DUNKIRK – Members of the Dunkirk Town Board will hold a swearing-in ceremony Tuesday at their regular board meeting.
Town Supervisor Richard Purol met with board members Thursday in Town Hall and asked for suggestions for committee appointments and board member assignments for 2014. Purol told the councilmen that he would like all of them to be involved in the town’s planning process for the long-term comprehensive plan. He said the board should have clear guidelines for the commercial district along Route 20 and look for other potential areas for growth in the town.
Purol said he will call for a special meeting of the Roberts Road Water District. He said he needs to know when the engineers will be ready to meet with residents of the district to present plans to bring water from the City of Dunkirk to residents of the town on Roberts Road. An environmental study has been completed and will be presented at the meeting.
