A South Wales woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after she nearly struck an Erie County Sheriff’s Office car that was parked on the side of Four Rod Road in Marilla Tuesday night, officials said.

Sheriff’s Det. Brian O’Hara was parked off the road on the shoulder at Four Rod Road at Clinton Street at about 10 p.m. when Callie Clothier, 29, of Goodleberg Road reportedly drove her vehicle over the shoulder and almost hit O’Hara vehicle.

The detective pulled over Clothier further down the road with the help of Deputies George Avery and Scott Kuhlmey.

A chemical breath test which indicated Clothier’s blood alcohol content level was .12 percent, sheriff’s officials said. Her car was towed and she was released to a third party with an appearance ticket.
