Wales Town Supervisor Rickey Venditti announced this week that the town’s new website will be live Monday.
Venditti said Wales clerks Mindy Eaton, Linda Haesuer and Ellen Bapst have been working for six months to get the site up.
Councilwoman Jude Hartrich said the next meeting for the Water Protection Plan is scheduled for July 17. The plan gathers information from residents for a map of the water resources, giving information on status, quantity and quality of Wales water. All Wales residents depend on wells for their water supply.
The board is looking for any Wales resident who would like to be on the Zoning Board of Appeals for a five-year term. Meetings are held when necessary. Interested residents should send a letter to the town hall, 12345 Big Tree Road.
The board accepted a six-month insurance policy renewal with the Municipal Compensation Insurance Alliance for $19,691.
Also approved was a town liability insurance policy with Selective Property Insurance that covers property, vehicles, grounds and contents and provides liability coverage for town officials if they should be sued.
The cost for this insurance is $22,636 for one year.
The board approved a contract to seal the parking lot for the Park and Town Hall for $3,933 from Seal a Deal Pavement.
