Employees of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Western New York ratified a three-year contractt Saturday.
The agreement was reached Friday between Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Local 153 of the Office and Professional Employees International Union. The company said the contract, which covers 350 employees, was ratified by an overwhelming majority in a vote held at Local 6 Ironworkers Union hall in West Seneca.
The bargaining unit employees are mostly customer service, administrative and clerical staff who work at the health plan’s Buffalo headquarters.
