A federal grand jury has returned a five-count indictment against a West Seneca man on child pornography charges, U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr. announced Wednesday.
Joseph S. Heleniak, 69, of Broadway Road, is charged with transportation and possession of child pornography. Because of a prior conviction, the transportation charges carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison if he is convicted.
Prosectors allege that Heleniak sent an email last Aug. 30 containing three files depicting girls under age 16 engaging in sexual activities with adult men. He was arrested Jan. 24 after a search warrant was executed at his residence.
