Catholic Health is expected soon to begin an $8 million project to modernize the 30-year-old Mercy Ambulatory Care Center in Orchard Park, the hospital system announced today.
The MACC, a division of Mercy Hospital, includes an emergency department, outpatient imaging services, laboratory services, rehabilitation services, and a wound-healing center. It is located at 3669 Southwestern Blvd.
The project, which is scheduled for completion in December, will include a single-story addition of about 15,000 square feet and the renovation of more than 20,000 square feet of existing space, officials said. Work is not expected to interrupt services.
The start of construction is pending approval of a required certificate of need filed with the state Health Department.
